A trials bike is a motorcycle featuring a small-displacement engine—usually between 125cc and 300cc—that is designed for observed trials courses. It is very lightweight, which allows it to be easily maneuvered through the course from obstacle to obstacle. It has a small fuel tank (usually with a capacity of 2.5 to 3.0 liters), knobby tires with a soft rubber compound, and no seat. Not having a seat allows the rider to move around freely on the bike as they make their way through obstacle-filled trials courses.

This bike is in excellent condition. I would rate it at 7 or 8 out of ten cosmetically, and 8 or 9 mechanically.

It was restored – frame up – in 2017 by the current owner when it had the following parts fitted.

New tires, chain, crank bearings and oil seals, all gearbox/transmission bearings and seals. New gaskets throughout. New chain. New tires. New cables (rear brake cleaned and refitted), grips and throttle, all paintwork redone. This year it has had new front and rear wheel bearings plus new modern more powerful brake shoes. The ignition is the fully electronic German system by Powerdynamo ($360), and was fitted last year, along with a new kill switch. The tank was fitted 8 sections ago and was made in the UK ($450). New Spanish silencer ($245).

This bike has been, and still is a super reliable and fun to ride vintage trials bike. It typical starts first kick.

$3500 OBO. (Will consider newer trials bike in trade up to a value of $2,000, or a classic trials bike – for restoration – up to a value of $500 Ossa, Montessa, cub, Bultaco etc.).
